AIM CROIT
Back to ResourcesAIM CROIT is a non-profit organization whose mission is to help people with physical, sensory or neurological disabilities (including stuttering) with the various steps of their job search. It serves residents of the Montreal metropolitan area only. To benefit from these services, the following eligibility criteria must be met:
- Have a physical, sensory or neurological disability
- Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident
- Live on the island of Montreal
- Receive Employment Insurance benefits or Employment Assistance, or be without income
- Be over 16 years of age
The organization offers a full range of services for job seekers such as one-on-one meetings, development of an action plan, psychometric tests, job search assistance, individual coaching for job interviews, etc.
The organization also works with employers in various fields to make them aware of the reality of people with disabilities. Moreover, it plays a role of intermediary between job seekers and a large bank of employers, which creates a win-win situation.
AIM CROIT offers services in French, English and LSQ (Langue des signes Québécoise, or Quebec Sign Language).
